Dia C. Forrester, former Attorney General of Grenada, is a distinguished Of Counsel attorney at Walwyn Slack Clarke & White, bringing over 15 years of extensive legal experience to our firm.

As a highly respected practitioner at both the private and public bar, Dia’s expertise spans a wide range of complex legal areas, making her an invaluable asset to our clients and a key contributor to our firm’s success. She was a partner at the largest civil and commercial law firm in St. Kitts and Nevis cementing her status as a formidable litigator and transactional attorney. Her career showcases a deep understanding of corporate and project financing, adeptly managing matters related to debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures. She has worked on numerous complex commercial and civil litigation matters, expertly navigating shareholder disputes, banking claims, and contractual issues. Her capabilities also extend to areas such as construction, insolvency, and trusts litigation, where her strategic approach ensures that our clients receive top-tier legal representation.

During her tenure as Attorney General of Grenada, Dia served as the chief legal advisor to the Government, providing critical counsel on domestic, regional, and international law prior to which she led Grenada’s litigation team as Solicitor General.

Dia is admitted to the bar in Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Anguilla. She regularly appears before the High Court and Court of Appeal in the Eastern Caribbean, and her experience as an Acting High Court Judge underscores her deep understanding of the judicial system. She has appeared before the Caribbean Court of Justice in its original jurisdiction and is available for engagements before the Privy Council and to serve as an Arbitrator, further broadening the scope of services we offer to our clients.
